What Is a Pendex® Expander?
A Pendex expander is a small, custom-made appliance that fits against the roof of your child’s mouth.
Tiny daily turns activate a center screw, encouraging the two halves of the upper jaw to move apart at a controlled rate. Once the desired width is reached, the appliance stays in place for a few months so new bone can form and lock the expansion into place.
